- Follow the welcome tour. Allow Microphone for voice and Global voice shortcuts under Input Monitoring. Screen Recording enables screen questions; Accessibility lets Rocky insert dictation and perform native actions.
What's new in 0.8.10
- Choose your microphone. Settings → Voice lists every connected input. Pick one and Rocky hears you through it in every mode and in dictation, falling back to the system default whenever it is unplugged. A Test button runs a level meter that turns green when Rocky can hear you, and the Mac's own input volume sits beside it where the device has one.
- Settings panes that read in order. Account is four topics with a paged list of recent calls, Privacy is five topics that list every protected app, and Browser is one Ready row with an Open button, the default profile in each row's menu, and an import that asks first and says what it copies.
- The Task Center shows its work inline. A task's report opens in the pane instead of a dialog, only the actions that fit its state appear, a failure is explained once in plain words with a next step, guide tasks are titled by their goal, and Archive all finished tasks… clears a long history in one step.
- Windows come to your Space. Settings, the Library, the Task Center and Rocky Browser open on the desktop you are using instead of switching you to wherever they last appeared, and clicking Rocky Browser in the menu bar from another Space works again. The menu bar also no longer flashes the listening model's warm-up card at launch.
Already have Rocky? Right-click its menu-bar icon and choose Check for Updates…. Rocky also checks for updates automatically.
Private by design. Spoken and typed requests can use screen context when they need it and you have enabled it. Protected-app filtering happens on your Mac. Turn on Review captures in Settings → Privacy to inspect images before sharing them. Details in the privacy policy.
